Financial Advisor in Plano, TX: Our Headquarters
Our Headquarters in Plano
JTL Wealth Partners has helped families plan for retirement and manage their wealth since 1994, and our headquarters and only office is in Plano at 5055 W Park Blvd, Suite 400. Clients in Plano and the surrounding area can meet with us face to face, and clients across Texas and in the other states we serve work with the same team by video and phone.
Our team is led by Chris Mankoff, CFP®, and we serve as investment fiduciaries in advisory relationships. As an independent firm, we offer securities and advisory services through LPL Financial, giving you access to a wide range of investment strategies without pressure to buy proprietary products. Our promise is in our tagline: Retirement, Simplified.
Helping Corporate Professionals
Plano is home to a remarkable concentration of corporate headquarters and regional campuses, especially in the Legacy business district, and many of our clients across Texas and beyond are executives and senior professionals. Their compensation often goes well beyond a salary, and their financial lives are more complex as a result. We help with:
- Restricted stock units, stock options, and employee stock purchase plans.
- Nonqualified deferred compensation elections and distribution timing.
- Choosing among benefits options during open enrollment.
- Relocation packages and the financial side of moving to Texas.
- Severance or early-retirement offers, including the decision to retire early.
- Consolidating 401(k)s from previous employers.
Planning for Business Owners
Physicians, dentists, attorneys, engineers, and entrepreneurs make up a large share of our clients. We help owners select retirement plans for themselves and their teams, plan for succession or a sale, and build wealth outside of their business, all in coordination with their CPA and attorney.
Retiring: Stay, Downsize, or Relocate?
Many of our clients raised their families in the homes they live in now, and as retirement approaches they face a big question: should we stay in our home? We help you weigh the costs of staying, including property taxes and maintenance, against downsizing, relocating, or moving closer to grandchildren. For Texas homeowners, we factor in homestead exemptions and the over-65 school tax ceiling, which can meaningfully affect housing costs for longtime homeowners. If you live in, or are thinking of moving to, one of the other states we serve, we build that state's property tax and retirement income tax rules into your plan.
What to Expect at Our Plano Office
Your first visit is a complimentary discovery meeting. There is no obligation. We will talk about your goals, what is working, what keeps you up at night, and whether our services are a good fit. If we decide to work together, we will gather your financial information, build your plan, and present clear recommendations in a follow-up meeting. If you live outside the area, the same meeting works by video or phone.
Our Plano office is conveniently located at 5055 W. Park Boulevard, Suite 400, Plano, TX 75093, in the Park Ventura office complex near the intersection of Park Boulevard and Preston Road. The location offers easy access from the Dallas North Tollway and President George Bush Turnpike, with nearby shopping and dining at The Shops at Willow Bend. Convenient parking is available for visitors.
We are open Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 6 PM, and offer Saturday meetings by appointment for busy professionals and business owners.
Serving The Next Chapter: Pre-Retirees and New Retirees
Many of our clients are in the decade before or just after retirement, the period when decisions carry the most weight. We help you decide when to retire, how to claim Social Security, whether to take a pension lump sum, how to bridge health insurance until Medicare, and how to draw income from your accounts in a tax-aware order. Because Texas has no state income tax, the focus is on federal brackets, required minimum distributions, and Medicare premium surcharges, areas where thoughtful planning can make a meaningful difference over time.
